Sale. These Add-ons can extend the use of the POS and make
managing and running your business much more smoother and
efficient. A brief description and
a few of the major screens are shown below. Although these
Add-ons are sold at an additional cost above and beyond the POS,

If you need to take credit cards, Mercury is the solution you
are looking for - Mercury Payment Systems specializes in
integrated payment processing solutions that are embedded, for
free, into Rocket Point-of-Sale. Both our two-second Internet
protocol (IP) and dial-up platforms include free, value-added
services, such as gift card processing, 24/7 technical support
and real-time Web reports to assist merchants in managing their
businesses.

unfortunately, an additional cost and can be purchased at a

| Auto-Backup - this is a routine for doing
automatic back-ups
across a network so if your server goes down, you may jump onto
a work station and continue to do sales.
This program runs in the background and can
be setup to start automatically when you turn on your computer.
You can set a timer on how often you want
the routine to copy any changed data from your server to an
outlying work station.
Paths are set by a Point-And-Click

Hand Held
The Hand Held software add-on allows you to
use a PDA running MS-Mobile operating system to wirelessly tie
into your POS data. From the PDA you can add, edit and delete
inventory. You can adjust on hand quantities. You will be able
to create invoices and then save them for processing at the
counter. You will also be able to create Purchase Orders and
receive from Purchase Orders as well as receive in inventory
where no Purchase Order was made.
By using a PDA with a built in barcode
scanner, this increases your productivity many times over.
Using the PDA along with Terminal
Services built into Windows, your updates are live and instantly
updates your POS data. No data downloading is needed.

Time Clock
Although a Time Clock is built into the POS
at no extra charge, you may have employees you don't want to
have access to the POS.
Our Remote Time Clock allows employees to
sign-in, take breaks, take lunch, and sign-out without ever
having access to the POS.
Full reporting is built into the POS for
tracking all employees as well as an exporting function for
importing into a time management software.

Check Casher
Check Cashing is a very popular service
supplied by many retail business today. By using our Check
Cashing routine, you can cash checks for your customers, check
their past check cashing history and verify it is a legal check.
You set the fee amount you want to charge
a customer for cashing their check.
Check cashing is all done from the POS
invoicing screen and you do not have to exit the program or
switch to another program to cash a check. An invoice is
generated for the customer automatically reflecting the charge
for cashing their check.

Shopping Cart Interface
The Shopping Cart Interface (SCI) allows
orders from your shopping cart to flow into the Rocket POS
without any human interaction. The SCI runs in the background on
your computer waiting for orders to hit your shopping cart and
then automatically pushes these orders into the invoice screen
of the POS. Any new customer is also added to your customer
database through this routine.
You will have to work with your website
designer to get the data from the shopping cart so it is passed
into the SCI.

Synchronizer
The Synchronizer allows you to take a copy
of your main POS data along with you on a laptop computer. This
data can them be used as normal on the laptop, such as adding
new inventory, sales, purchase orders, as if it is in your
store, etc.
Once you are done at your remote
location, you can then take the laptop data and synchronize it
back into your main data files. This is great for doing trade
shows, traveling salesmen and many other remote functions that
you may think of.

SQL Multi-Store
The SQL Multi-Store software allows all of
your stores to communicate back to a Home Office for centralized
management of your stores data.
Communication is automatic from the
stores and no clerk intervention is needed.
You can add, edit and delete inventory,
initiate purchase orders, receive purchase orders, reporting,
mass changes of pricing and many other functions. All
changes or updates that you do from the Home Office can be
directed to one store or to all of your stores.
Customer information can also be shared
between stores.
One store can check another's store
inventory levels from the inventory screen or the invoicing
screen. Inter-store transfers can also be done from one store to
another as well as from the Home Office to different stores.
The SQL Multi-Store should be setup by
your dealer or an experienced MS-SQL networking technician. An
experienced technician is someone who understands IP addressing,
firewalls, router ports and Sequel Query Languages. If you're
not familiar with these terms and their uses, do not attempt to
setup the SQL Multi-Store on your own. We here at DotDude.com
will of course help your dealer or technician with the
installation. Once setup, using the SQL Multi-Store is very
easy.
